Welcome to Arizona Charter Academy
Grades K-12th
Purpose...
Arizona Charter Academy strives to give ALL students, regardless of race, creed or socioeconomic status, the tools to learn, the confidence to reach their potential, and the courage to achieve their dreams.
Character...
Diversity in our students and staff make us unique and character sets us apart. Believing in their potential, our students have risen above the stereotypes, economic barriers and any other walls that stand in their paths. Components of character education are taught and practiced daily in the classroom and the community at large. Our ultimate goal is to prepare students to become good citizens, hard workers, and lifelong learners who are able to reach their goals and dreams.
Excellence in Education...
Hallmarks of our school include the use of individualized curriculum based on student's own diagnosed personal level of learning. Our curriculum meets Arizona State Standards and centers on excellence in reading, writing, mathematics, critical thinking, and technology use. Intentionally small classrooms (24:1 student/teacher ratio) promote personal student attention and supplemental and enrichment programs including Title 1 Reading and Math, ELL and Performing Arts are available to students at no additional charge.

ACA Mexico Trip 2009
At least 800,000 families in Mexico struggle without basic, secure homes. Arizona Charter Academy is driven to touch the lives of families in Mexico at the point of their greatest need. In February, 25 high school students and staff members partnered with Amor.org to show kindness to these families by building a house; a tangible object of security, safety, and stability.
The 5 day trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico was a hard but rewarding experience. Team members camped in tents and took showers from buckets. The actual work included mixing cement for the house foundation, building the walls with hand tools only, and mixing and applying several coats of stucco. All the team went through a life altering transformation as they truly began to appreciate what they have and how they were able to make a difference in the lives of others.
